The Championships, Wimbledon (Wimbledon Tennis) is one of the four annual Grand Slam tennis events and is the only one still played on natural grass. It’s one of the oldest sporting events, taking place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. Considered one of the most prestigious tennis events, Golden Tickets can grant you access to battle for the coveted historic title.

The first tournament was played in 1887, with just Gentlemen’s Singles. The Ladies’ Single event and Gentlemen’s Doubles events were added in 1884, and Ladies’ Doubles being added 36 years later in 1913. Wimbledon Tennis is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments along with the U.S. Open, Australian Open, and the French Open tournaments. For the tournament, Wimbledon’s organizers seed 32 players before the draw starts; the draw is randomly selected by a special computer. Once the first draw is complete, seeded players are added in to fill the draw for the tournament. This is followed by a single elimination tournament; one player, or one team, is pitted against another, with only one continuing. The winning player progresses to the next round, and the loser is dropped from the tournament.
